Mediterranean Hirbawi® Kufiya

The Mediterranean Sea, or “Bahr Yafa” (the Sea of Yafa), as Palestinians lovingly call it, is a key component of the collective Palestinian identity. The Mediterranean is omnipresent in Palestinian cultural memory. Today, most Palestinians in the West Bank are eager to visit their dear sea, as so many are barred from visiting it.
