Maqlama (مقلمة) means pencil case in Arabic, from "qalam," meaning "pen." This upcycled patchwork leather case can be used for pens, makeup, small tools, and other everyday essentials. Handcrafted in Palestine from high-quality leather offcuts left from our other Sumud Stories™ leather creations, each Maqlama is patiently stitched together piece by piece, forming a lively patchwork of colors. Color combinations may vary slightly, giving each Maqlama its own character. The layered stitching gives it a distinct look while making it remarkably durable.
